Here’s a rare one, 1/4 plate tintype of a soldier holding his Colt 1860 Army with Fluted cylinder. These are extremely rare to find in a photo. My assumption is this is probably an Ohio soldier because the governor of Ohio ordered a fair amount of fluted armies. This is one that if it was held how we like to normally see guns or even tucked into the belt showing the cylinder, frame, and grip it would be far more expensive. The image is a bit short behind the mat. Don’t miss your chance here. If you’re actively looking for one or have been. This is your shot. (No pun intended!) Housed in a leatherette case.
