Outstanding Civil War 1/4 Tintype of Identified 14th New Jersey Drummer William G Gardiner. This image is excellent in all respects of condition, clarity, content, and also has tinting! Gardiner enlisted August 14, 1862 in Freehold New Jersey as a musician. Gardiner contracted typhoid while the regiment was stationed at Monacy in late 1862 but was present his entire enlistment. He mustered out June of 1865. Housed in a full thermoplastic case! Comes with a folder of research on Gardiner and his entire enlistment.
