Heres a great and honest example of an Original First Type Martial Contract Henry Rifle. This rifle is fresh from an old Florida estate which it had been in for the last 35 years. The brass has a fantastic golden patina while the barrel though not having any blue, turned to a uniform brown patina throughout. The stock has a faint but slightly legible cartouche. The stock has an added cost of varnish over it that was done long ago, though it doesn’t detract from the appearance of originality of the wood. Screws are correctly matching serial numbered to the rest of the Henry. Matching number on the top barrel flat, buttplate, stock inlet, and side of frame. The stock also features the “Henry bump”. More photos are available upon request! I don’t expect this to last long as finding an original Martial Henry in untouched condition is getting extremely difficult these days!
