Very unique and interesting Civil War 1/9 tintype. This very well could be a period copy as the scratched inscription is reversed. This image was taken in Huntsville Alabama in 1862, and is also inscribed behind the mat the day the city was taken over by Union Forces. Housed in a full thermoplastic case.
